Straight Shot Mallard Call – Spalted Curly Maple & Asian Ebony

The Straight Shot Mallard Call – Spalted Curly Maple & Asian Ebony is a single reed call that has a raspy sound like an old Mallard hen that ducks just can’t resist. All the of the parts of the calls are completely handmade. I hand turn the barrel and the insert on the lathe to my specifications.

The exterior of the call is finished with CA/Cyanoacrylate (Super Glue) to give it a glossy look and smooth feel. I cut and tune all of my own tone boards by hand. I finish the interiors with Velvit oil to resist moisture when you blow the call. Double O-rings are used to on the insert to allow for the wood to expand and contract and still seal with the barrel. These are all wood calls so make sure you dry the call and store the call in a dry place after using. The call comes with a clear plastic storage tube.
